A web-based application allowing revenue agents to perform employment tax examinations of small business and self-employed taxpayers with a focus on federal income, social security, Medicare, and federal unemployment taxes. The application allows revenue agents to examine a taxpayer, record results, and produce a series of reports. As a software developer, created SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and scripts to underpin user interface functionality. Implemented data entry forms in Examination, Manage Users, Issues, Credit Adjustments, Reports, Closing Documents, and other modules. Used iText7 libraries to generate output pdf files dynamically, created PDF templates. Technologies: T-SQL, C#.NET, MVC, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Ajax, Adobe LiveCycle Form Designer, iText7, Azure DevOps.
Large system with web and desktop modules, designed to assist IRS employees in keeping track of taxpayers input documents, IRS agents’ assignments and time efforts, tax-related issues and output documents. IMS is created to fulfill the needs of multiple IRS branches (Estate and Gift, Large and International Business etc.), and implements a highly granular user hierarchy, restricting access to functions and modules in accordance with the IRS rules and regulations. Debugged and modified existing code base. Redesigned MDET (Miscellaneous Direct Exam Time) module, implemented Soft Letters module, created database procedures and user interfaces for importing Risk Assessment (MIRA/SIRA) data from the outside data source.
Technologies: T-SQL, ASP.NET, C#.NET, Web Forms, ORM Entity Framework, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, jQuery, Adobe LiveCycle Form Designer, IBM Engineering Workflow Management.
Based on RPA (Robotic Project Automation) technology, Soft Letter Batch Printing app automates the process of batch printing for the users of IMS Soft Letter Module (Large Business and International division). IMS interface allows users to mark multiple documents for batch printing and monitor the results. SLBP RPA app queries the IMS database for the list of files, downloads and sends them to the specified printer without user assistance. All records of file manipulation are saved to the IMS for audit purposes. Time savings per employee are estimated at 261 hours per year. Created a UiPath app incorporating multiple activities (authenticating user, connecting to DB, connecting to web services etc.) into a single workflow, developed app-specific web service, IMS UI, distribution packages.
Technologies: T-SQL, C#.NET, Web Forms, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Ajax, UiPath Studio, UiPath Orchestrator, GIT.
In-house solution to provide government Contracting Officers with a tool to record the ongoing contract reviews and generate formal feedback to be used in the government-maintained data sources. This multi-page app is designed to prompt users through the pre-scheduled review stages and uses AI libraries to analyze the review sentiment for the final feedback output. As a member of the small team developed front end interfaces using React.
Technologies: MySQL, React, JIRA
Two-phased project to ensure the continuity of use for an existing waste tracking application. Modified the legacy source code to provide the temporary solution for the end user team. Developed new HWTS application fully compatible with the modern operating system and security requirements. Implemented complex business rules, printing, and reporting functionality.
Technologies: Oracle PL-SQL, C#.Net, Web Forms, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Adobe LiveCycle Form Designer, Bitbucket.
Web front end and data development project to generate and publish Transportation Carriers security ratings based on batch data from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and customized safety audits. Analyzed current and emerging business practices, wrote Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and related documentation. Generated business process flowcharts and diagrams, database models and the uniform data sets, analyzed and processed multiple data sources. Designed database schemas and implemented them to hold and manipulate Motor Carrier batch files. Managed ETL processes and provided multi-level reporting functionality. Used SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS and SSRS for data load, manipulation, analysis and reporting. Designed and developed web pages to accept input from the end users and display output in the form of custom-tailored reports. Developed web services to make safety ratings available to potential clients.
Technologies: T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, C#.Net, Web Forms, CSS, JavaScript, React, R#, Bitbucket.
eCLAMS is a desktop application designed for the distribution among clam fishermen on the US East Coast to enable electronic submission of the logbook records to NOAA. It is implemented in the C#.NET with the SQL CE database at the back end. Publicly available encryption algorithms (AES256 with an RSA key) were utilized to enable transmission of the export data via SMTP email protocol. The data stream from the GPS receiver is incorporated into the data input interface. Created the software requirements following discussions with NOAA and industry stakeholders. Designed database and data layer structure for the software modules. Wrote all source code and managed the testing/modification development cycle. Created and customized distribution packages for the software.
Technologies: T-SQL, SSIS, ASP.NET, C#.Net, Web Forms, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, ArcGIS, Entity Framework.
